When I read the first edition I thought there could be nothing more that could be added to make it better.

Then I read the 2nd edition and there it was better than ever with expanded content. For the students and the educators.

The second edition puts more focus on spirituality, culture and change.  Creating a program geared at developing the emotional intelligence of a whole being.

I love that more exercises for the home were included. So many kids seem to go home where they think the learning stops and parents are so caught up in trying to keep up with their busy lives it’s almost like they don’t have time to notice.
The home exercises  help the child but also help reconnect the family.

One of the most impressive addition to the second edition was the course for educators in the last section of the book.

This section is not only useful for teachers currently in the classroom but should be used when educating future teachers.
In order to fix and improve our (broken) education system  we need to start changing the way we teach those coming into the system.

I’ve seen various books written by different people who think they have a clear view into the education system and what they feel should be done to improve it, and the education of our children.

Nothing has come close to Arna Baartz books.

I can not recommend her books enough.

Educators and future educators in the public and private system as well as  home schooling parents should add this to their must read piles.
