8 months

Where has time gone, and how do I stop it?
8 months, I can’t believe we’re here already.

My baby is growing up so fast.

In 8 months she’s definitely showed a lot of her personality.
What she likes and doesn’t.
Who she likes and doesn’t. (some days, this can be down right hilarious!)

She’s addicted to Mum-mums. I need to find these in bulk because she can go through a box in days if I let her.

As long as its Original.
No banana or vegetable.
Odd since she eats both in non Mum Mum form.

She HATES puréed anything.
But she’ll eat anything you put in her nibbler sack because she can do that herself.
She is all about self feeding.
She holds the spoon, or her mouth will not open. No ifs, ands, buts or tricks will get it open.

Cauliflower and her are not friends.
I am not feeding her that again until she’s potty trained.

She loathes apples. Doesn’t matter if it’s sauce, juice or just plain apple.
It all comes right back out.
With the most repulsed facial expression ever.

Wheat equals puking everywhere.
It makes her reflux look non existent.
Kind of expected given my own pregnancy wheat issues.

Bananas, beans and avocado were all hits.

We’re still sleeping through the night.
With 2 naps during the day, most days. During the week.

Apparently weekends she thinks it’s party time and it’s darn near impossible to get her to nap.

Unless you know we go shopping and it’s 5 minutes walk to the car.
Then she gets 5 minutes. But once in the car sleep time is over.

She’s really taken to being outside.
So much so mommy got a screen tent for shade.

The heat however has had us trapped in doors. She’s a walking furnace. Heat rash has been plaguing her almost daily.
She hasn’t worn much more than a onsie out shopping. A dress in the backyard & a sleep sack to sleep.

The rain keeps skipping over us.
However, it looks like today’s a better day.
At nap time her room was a comfortable 24 degrees, window open and ceiling fan on.

Finally a day she won’t sweat.

Bath time has now seen her happily splashing. As well as carrying her bath fish around the house.

Magic occurred and Cradle Cap is gone. Helps things along in trying to keep her cool.

How in the world she still has no teeth, I will never figure out.
They’re SO CLOSE!

I know, as a breast feeding mom people think I’m insane to be excited about teeth.
But teeth can’t hurt much more than pinching between gums can they?

I’ve already been training to not scream and cause a nursing strike. I’ve got this.

Mommy loves you

It’s been a long week.
The choking incident, I spoke about on Twitter.
IKEA -3 hours. $150 later. I went there for one thing. A DVD stand matching the other book cases. $50.

The rest, toys for P. lol
20 finger puppets and stuffed food items for a play kitchen.
She’s not old enough for it but I didn’t think passed oo it’s cheaper than Etsy.

Got a cute little mobile like decoration to hang from the ceiling.

I also picked out her closet organizer.
Which had to be picked up without us in the car today.

It’s not a bad price $230.
It’s completely customizable, and can grow with her.

I chose doors and drawers in the accent colours of the room.
Pics when it’s all up and installed.

I can’t wait.
To finally be able to get her clothes and things organized.
Not that it’s been cool enough for her to wear much.

Oh my does she sweat. Poor kid gets that from the other side. Hopefully she grows out of it.

Bath time has gotten better.
She nurses through most of it.
It makes bed time easier. She’s cooler and I can sleep close to her without out the sweat smell.

The ceiling fan, thermal curtain, open window or AC also help.

We had a brief storm.
Maybe an hour. Not enough.
Our lawns are dead from the heat and lack of rain.

I withdrew from the free home visitors program. The new visitor was just to horrible to deal with.

Human black cloud.
So no.

Time in this family will not be wasted on things that make us less than happy.
